The long road to becoming a specialist in aesthestics

"To be an aesthetic surgeon in Thailand, every doctor has to have a degree, in medicine, which takes six years, and after that they must serve three year’s residency in government hospitals before they choose what their specialty will be."

To become an aesthetic surgeon they must complete specific courses that take another three to five years.

"They have to have a very strong desire and passion and also dedicate themselves before they can be a good aesthetic doctor. But now, as the beauty trend is quite popular, most of a surgeon’s work is of this kind," he said.
