Rawai is the most southern resort town in Phuket. It is a town and also a municipality which covers Nai Harn as well as some areas of Chalong. Just like its neighbors, it has become home to perhaps the biggest expatriate community on the island. Many would argue that this entire southern tip of the island is the most beautiful Phuket has to offer. Close at hand are stunning beaches, restaurants, bars, health clubs, detox centres and some excellent shopping venues just slightly north in Chalong.
Because of so many amenities on the doorstep, the area has been rapidly developing and there are now a huge range of Rawai condos for sale throughout the municipality. And because of the growth in the property sector here, it has also seen a corresponding growth in the number of Rawai real estate agencies opening their doors for business.
If you are looking for a house for sale in Rawai, you are almost spoiled for choice. The area has seen countless new Rawai villa developments over the last 10 years, with more being planned. Many have Balinese central courtyard pool designs and are excellent for rentals during the high season.
Just as foreigners have been rewarded for their investment over the last 10 years, there is no reason to think that those purchasing property in the Rawai area today will not be rewarded in the years to come. Because of the magnificent scenery in the area, holiday makers are drawn to Rawai and rental income is both lucrative and consistent. Those investing in Rawai beach villas can easily achieve 80-100% occupancy rates in the high season, and in some years the high season extends to as long as 5 months.
Land values have obviously increased as the area has grown in popularity, but as long as Rawai and Nai Harn continue to be amazing holiday destinations, this trend should continue equally in the years ahead.
