People are invited to join the events and meet Mr Pita as he visits selected locales around the island, Move Forward MP Somchart Techathavorncharoen representing Phuket District 1, announced today (Oct 11).
Of note, Move Forward candidates won all three Phuket seats for Members of Parliament by strong margins during the national election in May this year.
Mr Somchart was declared the winning candidate for Constituency 1 with 21,252 votes. Chalermpong Saengdee won Constituency 2 with 21,913 votes. Thitikan Thitipruethikul won Constituency 3 with 20,421 votes.
Mr Pita will visit key areas around the island to see firsthand and discuss key issues with local residents, Mr Somchart said.
Mr Pita’s itinerary for Sunday is as follows:
9:00-10:00am. Phuket City Municipality Waste Incinerator
- Visit the Phuket City Municipality waste incinerator and landfill at Saphan Hin
- Listen to an overview of the garbage situation in Phuket, including ways to solve the problem. and what people want to see developed.
10:30–11:20am. Klong Kata Reservoir in Chalong.
- Listen to an overview of water management in the area, including guidelines for solving problems and what people want to see developed.
11:35am-12.00pm. Wat Chalong
13:00-14.30pm. Board a boat at AA Marina, Laem Nga (Ratsada).
- Explore a pilot project for community tourist attractions with Ratsada Mayor Nakarin Yosangrat
- Key issue to be discussed is community conservation at tourist attractions (environment)
15.00-16.00pm. Visit the Saphan Yao Pier at Laem Hin.
- Review the push the expand the pier and develop to be similar to Chalong Pier
- Discuss transportation issues with Kueakiat Jitkuea, President of the Koh Kaew Tambon Administrative Organisation (OrBorTor)
16.30-17.30pm. Jui Tui Shrine.
- Take part in the Phuket Vegetarian Festival
