Bang Wad Reservoir in Kathu is currently 20% full, with 2.12 million cubic metres of water, while Bang Neow Dum Reservoir in Srisoonthorn is 45% full, with 3.57mn cubic metres of water, Mr Krirksak said.
Klong Kata Reservoir in Chalong is 32% full, with 1.32 million cubic metres of water, he added.
All figures were current as of Apr 17, Mr Krirsak confirmed.
“Compared to previous years, the amount of water in Bang Wad Reservoir in Kathu this year is somewhat less than every year, but has not yet reached a critical level. It is still able to supply water to the people, including business operators, until the end of May,” Mr Krirksak said.
“If rain falls as expected [in May], there will be no problem, and we have located reserve water sources at several points both from the private sector and various water mines.
“We also have a plan to ask for help from royal rainmakers [if needed], and will proceed with our short-term, medium-term, and long-term plans,” Mr Krirksak concluded.
