PWA workers will need to shut off the water pressure to repair a 300mm ‘T Strainer’ at the Baan Bang Jo water production station in Srisoonthorn, the PWA said in its announcement.
The areas to be affected include much further than the immediate surrounding area in Srisoonthorn. Areas to be affected include parts of Ratsada, Koh Kaew, Kamala, Pa Khlok, Srisoonthorn, Cherng Talay, Thepkrasattri, Sakhu and Mai Khao, the PWA announcement said.
Some areas will experience only a reduction in water pressure, while others might experience no water supply at all, the PWA cautioned.
The PWA will expedite the work to be completed as soon as possible.
People were advised to hold 200 litres per person per day as water supply outages continue while the work is carried out.
After the water supply is restored, water discharged from the pipes may remain discoloured for some time. However, the discolouration will disappear if the tap is left open and the water is left to flow for a while, the PWA explained.
People were advised to contact the PWA at.076-319173 or 063-4744565, or the PWA Contact Center at 1662, for more information.
