Despite his challenges Hugo is an inspiration. Always smiling, Hugo loves life and shows great determination and resilience, as do his family. Hugo’s parents were told that his life expectancy would be short but are hopeful of a cure being found, not just for Hugo but for all the other families out there affected by this disease.

Very little is known about this disease. The only way to find a cure is do more research, the only way to do research is to invest more money and the only way to raise money is to raise awareness. This is where we all come in! We want to raise as much awareness and money as possible to support the work of the Australian Mitochondrial disease Foundation.

A group of people are running in a group called “Team Anything is Possible” to raise funds for the Australian Mitochondrial Disease foundation. So Make A Difference and dig deep:

Mitochondrial disease has been found to be linked to other diseases such as Autism, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s and Diabetes. I am sure we all know someone effected by one of these illnesses so we are asking you to please dig deep and make a difference! We’ll do the hard work all you have to do is donate! Any amount no mater how big or small could really make a difference.
