Patong Police were called to the scene, on Nanai Rd, at about 8:20pm.

Officers along with rescue workers from the Kusoldharm Foundation arrived to find the woman on her back next to the building.

Although the woman had suffered a serious injury to her leg, she remained conscious. Rescue workers administered emergency first aid then rushed her to Patong Hospital. She was then moved to Vachira Phuket Hospital in Phuket Town.

Police have yet to determine the cause of the woman’s fall.

Officers reported that the woman had been staying alone in a room on the fifth floor of the hotel. Officers coordinated with hotel staff to access her room, which was locked from the inside. Upon entering, they found no one else in the room.

Police have yet to confirm whether any other people were in the room at the time of the woman’s fall.

Police said they were continuing their investigation to determine whether the fall was accidental or if other circumstances, including possible self-harm, might have contributed.
