Police were called to the scene at 5:20am.
Officers arrived at the scene to find a white Toyota sedan registered in Phuket parked on the bridge.
Responders from the Kusoldharm Foundation were already at the scene, attending to the woman who had jumped.
The woman, a resident of Montri Rd in Phuket Town, was taken to Vachira Phuket Hospital for medical care.
The extent of her injuries were not reported, but the location of her jump saw her fall only several metres before hitting the ground below.
The bridge, opened in 2016 and built under a budget of B176 million, passes through mangroves.
The woman was able to explain to people at the scene that she had been battling depression for years. She had long been drinking alcohol to counter her depression, but to no avail and still wanted to end her life.
A passer-by who saw the woman standing on the bridge stopped and tried to prevent her from jumping, but also to no avail.
The woman is now in care at Vachira hospital.
