The accident, which resulted in a Burmese woman being taken to the hospital, took place at around 10am on Tuesday (Nov 28) on Patak Rd, in the jurisdiction of Chalong Police Station.
The case was publicly reported only today (Dec 1) when the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization (PPAO) released two reports on the operations of Pearl Center first-responders during the week. Listed among the eight Nov 28 cases was a road accident on Patak Rd. where a six-wheeler hit a pedestrian.
According to the report, rescue workers were called to the scene, in front of Chalong Shooting Range and Shell gas station, at 9:52am. Upon arrival, rescue workers discovered an injured Burmese woman lying in the middle of the road.
The woman was reported as “unconscious but still having a pulse.” An EMS Advance medical vehicle was called to the scene to take the victim to Chalong Hospital. The PPAO did not elaborate on the woman’s injuries.
Pictures from the scene show a truck parked in the middle of the road several meters further down the road. Nothing has been reported about the driver of the vehicle.Woman Hit by Truck in Chalong
