The event, held at the Laem Phromthep Viewpoint in Rawai, was presided over by Phuket Vice Governor Samawit Suphanphai. He was joined by Mueang District Chief Pairoj Srilamul, Rawai Mayor Thames Kraithat, heads of government offices, private sector representatives, royal volunteers and a large number of local residents.
The activity formed part of the nationwide volunteer development programme held annually in remembrance of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great (King Rama IX). Participants offered merit and paid homage to the late King, whose tireless dedication and lifelong service brought lasting benefit and happiness to the Thai people.
Volunteers carried out cleaning and landscape improvement work around the Laem Phromthep Viewpoint, enhancing the environment and preserving the area’s natural beauty. The viewpoint, one of Phuket’s most iconic tourist attractions, draws visitors from across Thailand and around the world.
Vice Governor Samawit said the activity reflected the continuing gratitude and respect the Thai people hold for His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, and demonstrated the enduring unity and volunteer spirit inspired by his example.
