The fire broke out at about 1am on Nai Thon Beach. Flames quickly engulfed stacks of canvas beach cushions and plastic chairs arranged along the beachfront, police reported.
Employees at a nearby Tops convenience store were the first to spot sparks in the darkness and raised the alarm, shouting for help from nearby residents. Villagers rushed to the scene and used water to try to contain the blaze before it could spread further.
It took about 30 minutes to bring the fire under control.
Thanapong Kueanun, village headman of Moo 4, Sakhu, said initial inspections revealed significant damage. About 40 canvas beach cushions and 20 plastic beach chairs were destroyed, with total losses exceeding 60 items. No injuries were reported.
Officials have yet to confirm the cause of the fire. However, preliminary information suggests the incident may be linked to a conflict of interest between local beach vendors.
Authorities are continuing their investigation and have pledged to expedite efforts to determine the exact cause of the blaze.
