The Chalong Underpass will be closed from 9pm to midnight for cleaning, the Phuket Highways Office explained in one announcement.
The Samkong Underpass will be closed from 9pm through to 5am tomorrow (Feb 16) while workers carry out repairs and maintenance to the lighting system, the Phuket Highways Office explained in a separate announcement.
“Therefore, we would like to announce this for everyone to know. and apologise for the inconvenience,” both announcements said.
The announcements included the call for the public to “help make highways safer”.
People who notice issues like potholes, damaged road surfaces, broken streetlights, traffic signal problems, fallen trees, or damaged traffic signs, were urged to call 076-212179 during office hours or the Department of Highways hotline 1586 (free, available 24/7).
