Two women arrested for employing four illegal aliens in Phuket

PHUKET: Two Thai and four Burmese women were arrested at a restaurant and karaoke bar yesterday night (March 12) after police learnt that the four Burmese were working there illegally.

The arrests were made at two seperate venues on the same soi in Rassada.

At 9.30pm, Phuket Police Inspector, Lt Col Somsak Tongkleang led his team to arrest the six at the Happy Sea Man restaurant and Tithaporn karaoke in soi Wanitch on Wanitch Rd in Rassada.

The two bar owners, Sangtien Liepanya, 24, and Kritsana Musija, 37, face being charged with employing illegal aliens.

The four Burmese women,Win Thuza Myint, 26, Thi Dar, 42, Myint Than Dar, 26 , and Ohn Mar Win, 27, face being charged with working in Thailand illegally.

All six women were taken to Phuket City Police Station.
