Two Turks wanted in Phuket arrested on Samui

PHUKET: Two Turkish men were arrested on Koh Samui yesterday (August 27) on an arrest warrant issued in Phuket for theft from a hotel.

Murad Mohammed Yahya and Wesam Kamal Murad were wanted for a theft committed at the dusit D2 Hotel in Patong on March 29.

The two, named as Murad Mohammed Yahya and Wesam Kamal Murad were arrested in Koh Samui following the issuing of an arrest warrant on April 2, Lt Col Suthichai Tienpo of Kathu police announced at a press conference held at 9pm last night.

Both were wanted for a theft committed at the dusit D2 Hotel in Patong on March 29.

“Murad and Wesam stole valuable items from guests at the hotel.

“The two were arrested at 2 pm today in the Maled sub district of Koh Samui while they were walking down the street in front of Koh Samui Prison,” said Lt Col Suthichai.
