“The length of Nai Harn Beach is around 800 metres, we have marked out two 10% zones each at 40m. Kamala is around two kilometers long so we have therefore provided 4 50m 10% zones,” V/Gov Chokdee told The Phuket News.
“Nai Yang and Nai Thon are the next beaches to have their 10% zones marked and that will happen on Monday (Nov 23) ” he added.
V/Gov Chokdee believes that all of Phuket’s 19 beaches will have their 10% zones marked by the end of the month.
“Phuket has now hit high season again and tourists will continue to pour onto the island. We will do our best to complete the 10% markings before the end of this month,” V/Gov Chokdee concluded.
