A Thai woman and man were left dead, 26 were injured (including 15 Russian and 11 Thais) and eight vehicles were damaged when the Natalie Tours bus came flying down the hill, taking out vehicles in its path.

It crashed at the Family Mart at the bottom of the hill.

Found dead in the front of the bus was Phanthitha Jaruwat, 40, the bus tour guide.

Also found dead was Kanrat Kajornjit, 55, who was found in a Toyota Vios at the bottom of the hill.

From questioning witnesses, police said the bus picked up tourists from Phuket Town to Patong. The bus lost control and then crashed down the hill, before finally stopping at the Family Mart and crashing into a pole.

Police are investigating.
