The arrests were made at about 9pm under arrest warrants issued by the Phuket Provincial Court, Thalang District officials confirmed.
Thalang District Chief Siwat Rawangkul ordered the operation, which was carried out by the Thalang District Office in coordination with Sakhu Police Station, village leaders and the Village Security Team (OrSor) from Moo 1, Sakhu.
The suspects were identified as Manas Sakulchit, 21, wanted under Phuket Provincial Court Warrant No. 19/2569, and Chinapat Yodmani, 25, wanted under Warrant No. 18/2569.
Both suspects are charged with attempted murder with premeditation, illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition, carrying a firearm in a city, village or public place without reasonable cause, and unlawfully discharging a firearm in a community area.
During the arrest, officers seized one homemade firearm, described as a modified blank gun, along with nine rounds of 9mm ammunition.
Officials said the suspects and all seized items were handed over to investigators at Sakhu Police Station for further legal proceedings.
Thalang District officials noted that the operation was conducted with the assistance of local village leaders and security volunteers as part of ongoing efforts to maintain public safety in the Sakhu area.
