Police reported that the arrests were made during an operation targeting illegal weapons possession in Kathu.
The first suspect, identified by police as Panuwat ‘Ohm’ Thongprasert, was arrested in front of a house in Moo 6, Kathu.
Officers seized a homemade gun and two 12-gauge cartridges from him. He was charged with possessing a firearm and ammunition without a permit.
A second suspect, Uthai ‘Diao’ Makkham, was also arrested at the same location.
Police reported seizing two rounds of .22-calibre ammunition from Uthai. He has been charged with possessing ammunition without a permit.
Both suspects were taken to Kathu Police Station for further legal proceedings, Kathu Police reported.
