The first suspect, identified as Jakkaret ‘Ae’ To-e-mae, 34, was apprehended at a residence in Moo 1, Ratsada.
In making the arrest officers seized:
- 58.70 grammes of crystal methamphetamine (ya ice)
- 1,830 methamphetamine pills (ya bah)
- Drug paraphernalia, including two digital scales and a drug sales record book
- Various types of ammunition, totaling more than 40 rounds
- A modified .380-calibre handgun
- A mobile phone used for drug transactions
The second suspect, Wasanthara ‘Tom’ Rattanawichian, 41, from Phang Nga Province, was arrested nearby.
Officers found him in possession of:one ya bah pill, 20 rounds of air gun bullets and an air rifle with a barrel length of about 19 inches.
Both suspects were taken to Phuket City Police Station, where Jakkaret was charged with possession and distribution of Category 1 narcotics, illegal drug use and unauthorized possession of firearms and ammunition.
Wasanthara was charged with illegal drug possession and use, as well as unlawful firearm possession.
