It was reported that five people were injured in the 2am accident, including the truck driver, and all were sent to Patong Hospital for treatment. A police officer has confirmed to The Phuket News that there were no serious injuries and everyone had been discharged from hospital.
It is still unknown why the truck crashed or how the back end of it ended up seperated from the main body of the vehicle.
