Thalang Police were called to the scene, in Moo 1, Thepkrasattri, at 9:35pm. Police were informed of a threatening incident involving weapons and a loud noise resembling a gunshot.

Police arrived to find Myanmar nationals Nai Yan Win, 23, and Min Way Yan, 22, who work as labourers, waiting for them.

The men told police the altercation began earlier in the evening at a traffic light near the Khao Lan-Baan Lipon intersection.

A minor argument with an unidentified Myanmar man and woman reportedly escalated into a threatening encounter later at their residence.

Two unidentified Myanmar men arrived on a motorbike. The men parked in front of their home and began threatening them with a knife.

Fearful for their lives, Nai Yan Win and Min Way Yan fled inside the house to hide. Shortly after, the assailants left the property, and a sound similar to a gunshot echoed through the area.

No injuries were reported.

Police said they were now looking for the two assailants with the intent of pressing charges.
