Patong Police were called to the popular nightlife street at 2:30am.
Police identified the two tourists as 24-year-old Ukrainian national Danylo Sidiakin, staying in Thalang, and Oleh Hoba, also 24, a Polish national staying at a guesthouse in Kathu.
According to police, the altercation took place after the two men visited the Miami Bar on Bangla Rd and later moved to the ‘Nan & Non Tour’ restaurant, also on Bangla Rd, at 1:50am.
A dispute arose between them and a security guard at the second restaurant, escalating into physical violence.
Following the attack, the victims sought police assistance to track down the assailants and pursue legal action.
Patong Police escorted the two tourists to Patong Hospital for medical examinations and treatment of their wounds.
The officers also coordinated with the investigation team to collect CCTV footage from the area, which will serve as key evidence in the case, police reported.
The cause of the altercation remains unclear, and officers are working to identify the suspects involved.
