At around 10.45am on Friday (Jan 5), the Royal Thai Navy’s unit in Phang Nga was informed by the Ko Mu Similan National Park officials that a 30-year-old Chinese man was pulled from the water unconscious and unresponsive.
The patient was initially taken to a local medical station at the Ko Mu Similan National Park and later transported to the mainland by boat with assistance from the Royal Thai Navy.
Officials did not disclose which medical institution in Phang Nga accepted the Chinese man. No update has been provided about the tourist’s condition as of Sunday morning (Jan 7).
"Royal Thai Navy 3rd Area Command would like to ask local residents and tourists to be mindful of dangerous incidents while on sea trips. If you need assistance, please contact Navy Region 3 at the 1696 hotline at any time," the Navy said.
