Emergency responders from the Patong branch of Kusoldharm Foundation Phuket were called to the beach at 2:19pm after being informed of the incident by the Narendra 1669 Center.
Rescue workers rushed to the scene, behind the Bangla Police Box, to find the injured man, identified as Mohammad Irfaan Badat, 26.
He was conscious but suffered a serious injury to his right leg, believed to be the result of the impact.
Rescue workers provided immediate first aid before transporting him to Patong Hospital for further treatment.
Patong Police and other authorities have yet to announce any investigation into the cause of the incident.
