The BMW, tangled into the side of the bus, received more damage to the front when it hit other cars.

The bus, from Bamboo Travel, first hit a BMW, which became tangled with the bus. The driver, Rewat Thaweewat, 44, from Ranong, carried on, dragging the BMW with him before hitting the back of a white Mitsubishi and scraping along the side of a bronze Isuzu pickup truck.

The bus driver told police he was taking his passengers back to their hotel, the Supalai at Ao Por, when a car came up on the right side, traveling fast. He swerved left to avoid being hit by it and, instead, rammed the parked cars.
