Although organised by the BCCT, the Phuket event is being held in collaboration French, German, Italian and the Netherlands with chambers of commerce.

Bangkok Post Newspaper Editor-in-chief Pichai Chuensuksawadi and Deputy Editor Nopporn Wong-Anan will act as moderators.

The Thai Institute of Directors Association (IOD) has more than 3,000 members, comprised of corporate directors and senior management of leading companies in Thailand. The members are considered to be among the top businessmen in Thailand, who play a vital role in driving good corporate governance practices, said the event notice issued by the BCCT.

“An accurate understanding of the planned reforms will give them confidence to conduct business in Thailand and enable them to serve as an important advocate to build confidence among the international community in the potential of ‘Thailand going forward’,” read the notice.

The seminar aims to prepare key stakeholders for the changing business environment, and involved foreign chambers of commerce operating in Thailand, including the American Chamber of Commerce, the Australian Chamber of Commerce, the British Chamber of Commerce and the Joint Foreign Chamber of Commerce.

“This event will give IOD members and members of foreign chambers of commerce the opportunity to meet and learn about the direction of the planned reforms directly from the key figures behind the process to set and implement the reforms,” said the BCCT release.

The seminar will be conducted in English.

Attendance costs B1,500 net per person, including lunch. The deadline for advance bookings is June 30.
