Sakorn Nitipoj (originally identified only as “News” and thought at the time to be 18 years old) was found shot dead at the side of Narisorn Rd near the Phuket office of the Finance Department, and not far from The Governor's Mansion.

The three who surrendered today were “Bank” (as he is under 18 years of age his full name was not revealed), Supachai Atwicha, 19, and Adisorn Leamka, 18. They were charged with premeditated murder and being accessories to murder.

The trio said that they and the fourth suspect, still at large, got into an altercation with Sakorn, who was with a group of friends, at Saphan Hin. The fight turned into a high-speed bike chase. When they reached Narisorn Rd, the four – who were all armed – opened fire at Sakorn before riding away.

During questioning the trio indicated that the fatal shot was fired by the fourth youth.
