The crash occurred at about 9am on Srisoontorn Rd near the entrance to Soi Sae Lo Uthit, before the SuperCheap area in Manik.

Pol Lt Kriengkrai Daokrachai, the traffic accident investigating officer at Thalang Police Station, said officers were alerted to the incident by the Thalang police radio centre before rushing to the scene.

Police found three vehicles involved in the collision: a white Mazda sedan bearing Bangkok licence plates, a Honda PCX motorcycle with Phuket licence plates, and another Honda motorcycle with a Trang licence plate.

The Mazda driver, Pichpicha Pipat-adit, told police she was driving from Cherng Talay towards the Heroines Monument when two motorcycles collided in front of her vehicle. One of the motorcycles then slid into her car.

Police said the rider of the Honda PCX sustained injuries and was taken to hospital, while both the rider and passenger of the second Honda motorcycle were also injured after their bike slid into the middle of the road.

All three injured people – two men and one woman whose names were not released – were taken to hospital for treatment. Two were transported to Thalang Hospital and one was transferred to Vachira Phuket Hospital.

Investigators examined and documented the scene and are continuing their investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash.

Thalang Police Station Superintendent Pol Col Nikorn Chuthong confirmed that officers are gathering further evidence as part of the ongoing investigation.
