Yesterday afternoon at 3pm, on orders from Phuker Provincial Police Commander Pol Maj Gen Ong’art Phiewreungnon, police raided the home of Kiattiphum “Tak” Rangabwong, 43, on Thungthong Rd in Kathu and discovered 338 pills of methamphetamine (ya ba) and 1.8 grams of crystal methamphetamine (ya ice). He was charged with possession of drugs for sale.
The police then moved up the supply chain and visited Kwanmuang Jantapuk, 47, and Chaowarit “Chao” Sukma, 38, who were found to be in possession of 1,318 ya ba pills. They, too, were arrested and charged with possession of drugs for sale.
Police also confiscated the papers for two semi-detached, two-storey houses and the land beneath them, together valued at about B3.1 million, a Honda Civic car valued at B600,000 and a Samsung mobile phone valued at B10,000.
