The incident occurred around 4:44pm and was reported to authorities shortly after. Pol Lt Col Cholathit Khiaw-on of the Wichit Police responded to the scene along with rescue personnel, forensic doctors and rescue workers from the KusoldharmPhuket Foundation and local hospitals.

The crash involved a blue Yamaha Grand Filano motorbike. At the scene, officers found the bodies of Priya Plikarn, 50, and her 8-year-old son, Natthaphat Chu-in, both from Kapong District, Phang Nga.

The driver, identified as Piwat Chu-in, 33, was given CPR at the scene and transported to Vachira Phuket Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

A vendor nearby told police he did not witness the actual collision but believed speed may have been a factor, based on the impact.

CCTV footage later confirmed that the motorcycle was traveling at high speed before the driver lost control and struck the pole.

Police documented the scene, collected evidence, and coordinated with forensic officers to examine the vehicle and bodies.

The case is being processed under Traffic Case Act No. 24/2568, and relatives have been contacted to retrieve the bodies for religious rites.
