The arrests were carried out on Tuesday and Wednesday (May 5-6). The operation was led by Thalang Deputy District Chief and Administrative Affairs head Wisut Romint together with Deputy District Chief Chaiporn Yangjin and members of the Thalang District Volunteer Defence Corps (OrSor).
In the first case, officials arrested a man identified only as ‘Mr A’ in Moo 1, Thepkrasattri. Officers seized 825 methamphetamine pills (ya bah), 12.25 grammes of crystal meth (ya ice), plastic bags and a digital scale.
He was charged with possession of Category 1 narcotics with intent to sell and illegal consumption of methamphetamine.
In the second case, another suspect identified only as ‘Mr B’ was arrested in Moo 1, Thepkrasattri. Seized during the arrest were 15 ya bah pills, 9.77g of crystal meth, plastic bags, a digital scale and drug paraphernalia.
He faces charges of possession and attempted sale of Category 1 narcotics, illegal drug use and driving under the influence of methamphetamine.
In the third case, officers arrested ‘Mr C’ in Moo 4, Srisoonthorn, where they seized a .38-calibre revolver, two rounds of ammunition and a black leather holster.
He was charged with illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition, as well as illegal consumption of methamphetamine.
All three suspects were handed over to investigators at Thalang Police Station for further legal action.
Thalang District officials said the operation formed part of continuing efforts by the government and the Ministry of Interior to combat narcotics trafficking, suppress criminal influence and ensure public safety across local communities.
