The arrests were carried out yesterday (Feb 6). The investigation team was led by Pol Lt Col Suchart Luecha, Investigation Inspector at Thalang Police Station, along with Pol Lt Atithep Kaewprasert and Pol Lt Wutthichai Anuapeto.

In the first case, police arrested a 38-year-old man in Thepkrasatri for possession of Category 1 narcotics for sale.

The suspect, identified by police as Rewat ‘Toey’ Prateep Na Thalang, was arrested in front of his home in Moo 4, Thepkrasatri, before officers continued their search around and inside the house.

Police seized 800 ya bah pills, 2.2 grammes of crystal meth, one digital scale, crystal meth paraphernalia and one yellow Realme mobile phone.

Rewat was charged with possession of Category 1 narcotics (methamphetamine and crystal meth) for sale without permission, an offence considered to be for commercial purposes and contributing to the spread of drugs in the community.

In a separate operation, Thalang Police arrested two suspects at a house in Srisoonthorn for jointly possessing methamphetamine for sale.

The suspects were identified as a 39-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman, arrested at a house in Moo 5, Srisoonthorn.

Police seized 1,152 ya bah pills, one digital scale and two packs of plastic bags.

Both suspects were charged with jointly possessing Category 1 narcotics (methamphetamine) for sale without permission, an offence deemed to be for commercial purposes and contributing to the spread of drugs among the public.

Thalang Police said the arrests were part of ongoing operations to suppress drug distribution networks in northern Phuket and to reduce the spread of narcotics in local communities.
