Confirmation of the arrests came through a report by the Phuket Provincial Police yesterday (Jan 7).
Pradit ‘Tham’ Phukloi, 39, from Trang, was arrested at a rented residence in Soi Namtok Kathu, Moo 6, Kathu, after he was found with 1,001 ya bah pills and 0.06 grammes of crystal meth (ya ice).
Also seized were packaging materials and drug paraphernalia , a mobile phone and a pickup truck allegedly used in drug operations Officers also seized a Honda Wave motorbike valued at about B50,000 and B5,500 in cash.
Pradit was taken to Kathu Police Station to face charges of drug distribution and illegal drug use.
Officers also arrested Anurak ‘Sen’ Phudungphon, 34, from Phang Nga, at another rented room in Moo 6, Kathu after he was found with 153 ya bah pills and packaging materials used for drug distribution.
Anurak was also found to have an outstanding arrest warrant from 2022 for possession of methamphetamine. He now faces additional charges of drug distribution and illegal drug use.
Officers made their third arrest in Patong, where they arrested Wanlop ‘Bang Tom’ Nok Mued, 47, from Satun, at a residence on Rat U-Thit 200 Pi Rd after he was found with 1,154 ya bah pills, 0.75g of crystal meth and packaging materials.
Wanlop was taken to Patong Police Station to be charged with possession of illegal narcotics and for further investigation.
