At 8:30am today (July 20), Phuket City police were called to investigate the theft which took place at the Science & Math Centre on the fourth floor of the school .
Police were told that 10 computer tablets worth B240,000 and a B6,000 audio converter had been stolen from the room.
“The thief broke in via the front door and damaged the lock to get into the lab,” a teacher from the school told police.
Police have stated that there were footprint marks left on the floor and also fingerprints from where the thief had ransacked the room
A teacher said that the room had been locked on Friday evening (July 17) and that nobody had access to the room over the weekend.
However, upon arrival at the school today they found that the room had been broken into. All the cupboards in the room had been opened and several valuable items were missing.
Police are now cecking CCTV footage from the school in the hope it will lead them to the thief.
