The existing Phuket league is based around the north of the island with current league leaders Doo Duck Bar playing in Kamala, closely pursued by last seasons winners Kindee Flames. Kindee Bistro in Cherng Talay has made a name for itself by offering both steel tip and soft tip darts. Kindee also boasts two teams, the Flames and the Bulls with some team members also playing national competitions in Bangkok.

Anyone in the Bang Tao area is spoilt for choice with Local Bar, Orange Corner and Ozone 8 Bar all in close proximity. Phuket League matches are played Tuesday evenings, often attracting spectators and all are welcome to come and watch. All the bars have darts available seven days a week for anyone that may wish to join a team or simply enjoy the social side of the sport.

In addition to the Tuesday night Phuket league, friendly darts competitions are played across the island each week. Monday evening sees Devils Bar in Kamala take centre stage, with Kindee Bistro running its weekly competition each Thursday. For those in Patong, Friday evening is the time to visit Phuket’s longest running darts competition at Star Fish Bar, which now boasts the islands only dedicated multi-board darts lounge.

The south of the island is now getting into the act with both Happy Days Bar and Tank and Throttle Bar both combining pool and darts for the full pub sport experience in Chalong. Gozar in Rawai also offers both pool and darts, while Little Mermaid Guesthouse and Restaurant in Kata has a dual board darts area. All these bars are now recruiting for players to begin a friendly darts league in southern Phuket.

Whether you are an experienced player or a total novice, all the islands’ darts venues offer a friendly welcome. Contact them direct or simply drop by for a drink and ‘have a chuck’.

Meanwhile, global brand Mission Darts will soon launch in Thailand. They bring a full range of professional quality equipment plus support and advice on how to make darts work for your business. For players they offer the services of Asia’s only PDPR qualified darts coach.

With much more planned it is an exciting time for Phuket’s darts scene and no matter where you are on the island, there is a local darts bar waiting for you.
