A force of more than half-a-dozen officers from Thalang Police raided a house in Pa Klok’s Moo 4, owned by Ms Noopit Saengjun, 42, who was named as the host of the card game.
The other four suspects detained were named as Mr Jaroon Theprat, 59, of Sisunthon; Ms Amara Saengsuk, 30, of Cherng Talay; Ms Orana Reuangdet, 22 of Takua Thung in Phang Nga and Mr Nikorn Jundee, 27 of Mae Chan in Chiang Rai.
Led by Pol Col Chanuchan Chonsuwat, the police raiding team also comprised of Pol Lt Col Weerayut Sittirutakul, Pol Lt Col Kritsana Channit; Pol Capt Surisak Lewijit; Pol Lt Wuttichai Anupetho and Pol Sub Lt Ukkrit Khaomak, in addition to several other officers who were not named.
The suspects were all charged with gambling without a permit.
