A meeting will be held this month before a list of eligible inmates is forwarded to a department-level committee, and then to a ministry-level committee ahead of final approval, reports the Bangkok Post.
Thaksin’s name will be on the list, according to the source, which would lead to his release on May 11.
In the meantime, details, including the locations where inmates will stay during parole, their guardians, the risks of repeat offences, and other safety considerations, are being determined as part of the parole deliberation process, the source said.
