The Thailand International Boat Show: A Luxury Lifestyle Event will take place at Phuket Yacht Haven Marina from Jan 15-18, during the peak of the Andaman tourism high season. The event brings together the boating, tourism, property and luxury lifestyle sectors, which collectively attract high-spending visitors, long-stay travellers and second-home owners to coastal destinations.
Organisers say demand for the 2026 show reflects continued interest in Thailand as a regional hub for marine tourism.
“Marine and coastal tourism are no longer niche segments; they are becoming core drivers of visitor spending across Thailand’s coastal destinations,” said David Hayes, CEO of organiser JAND Events.
“For the 2026 show, on-land exhibition space is close to full, many leading in-water brands have returned from last year, and the superyacht presence reflects continued confidence in Thailand as a base for high-value tourism and marine activity.”
The event aligns with the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s ‘New Thailand’ strategy, which focuses on quality tourism, increased visitor spending and experience-led travel, Mr Hayes explained.
Water-based activities such as yacht chartering, island-hopping, watersports and luxury coastal living continue to see strong demand, particularly during January when international visitors and regional travellers are most active in Phuket, he added.
The Thailand International Boat Show is supported by national and provincial authorities including the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Tourism Authority of Thailand and Phuket Province, reinforcing its position as a government-backed platform for promoting marine tourism and related industries.
This year’s show will feature a wide range of international and regional yacht brands, with exhibitors including Beneteau, Prestige Yachts, Sunreef Yachts, Gulf Craft and Excess. Multihull brands such as Fountaine Pajot, Leopard Catamarans, Lagoon and Max Cruise Marine will also be represented.
A highlight for the regional market will be the Asian premiere of the Aquila 42 Coupe, presented by Primus Marine, offering visitors an early look at the new model.
Phuket’s growing reputation as a destination for superyachts will also be on display. The 40-metre ‘SeaBear’, previously owned by golf legend Jack Nicklaus, will anchor the Superyacht Lounge at the show. Presented by Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous, organisers say the vessel’s presence underscores Phuket’s expanding role as a base for large yachts operating in Southeast Asia.
In addition to marine exhibitors, the show will include luxury lifestyle and property developers, reflecting the link between marine tourism and Phuket’s second-home market. Developers such as Redwood Luxury Development, ABOV Patong and Reignwood Park are among those taking part, alongside premium lifestyle brands connected to coastal living.
Industry discussions will continue ahead of the show with the Thailand Yachting Conference, scheduled for Jan 14 at The Slate, Nai Yang Beach. The conference will bring together industry leaders, marina operators and policymakers to discuss the future of boating, marine tourism and related economic opportunities in Thailand.
The Thailand International Boat Show 2026 will run from Jan 15-18 at Phuket Yacht Haven Marina, with the Thailand Yachting Conference taking place on Jan 14.
