According to Patong Police, the deceased was found in room 301 on the third floor of the unnamed dormitory. The body was discovered by a colleague, Pornprasit Thongsamrith, who alerted authorities.

Mr Pornprasit stated he had been unable to contact the deceased for two days and decided to check on him. Upon entering the room, he found the man lying lifeless on his back in the bedroom, wearing no pants.

No evidence was recovered from the scene, and the cause of death remains unknown, police noted.

Officers are continuing their inquiries to determine the circumstances surrounding the death, Patong Police reported.

Meanwhile, Wichit Police are investigating the death of a 52-year-old man at his home on Thursday night (Jan 16).

The discovery was made after concerns were raised by a friend of the man’s son, Wichit Police reported.

The deceased, identified as Manas Phichit, was found at his home on Thanit Turakij Soi 2, in Moo 1, Wichit.

Mr Manas was believed to have died some three days before his body was found.

Police officers, along with a doctor and investigators, arrived at the scene to conduct an initial examination.

Mr Manas’s body showed no signs of struggle or injury, and there was no evidence of missing property, police noted in their report.

The body was taken to Vachira Phuket Hospital for post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.

Wichit Police assured the public that all necessary investigative procedures will be carried out to clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident.
