Phuket City Police received a call from staff at the Euro massage parlour on Phoonpon Rd in Talad Neur at 9pm yesterday stating that a man had died in one of their rooms.
Police arrived at the scene with Kusolharm rescue workers and were led to the room where the body of 59-year-old Boonsong Srisa-ard was lying face up on the bed. Police said there were no signs of foul play, assault or robbery.
Police learned that Mr Boonsong had gone for a massage and ordered a beer to take to the room. The masseuse, whose name has not been revealed, said the victim went to the bathroom after finishing the drank beer and vomited.
She thought he was sick so told him lay down on the bed. Suddenly, the man started foaming from the mouth and his body became stiff.
The body was been taken to Vachira Hospital for doctors to find the cause of death.
“When rescue workers arrived, Mr Boonsong was already dead, we assume that he suffered a sudden heart attack. However, we will have to wait for doctors to confirm the cause of death.” Capt Akaradet Pongphrom.
