Anti Narcotics Police led by Phuket City Police’s Maj Rittichai Chumchuy arrested Patiphan Kaewmeeboon and seized from him of 121.47 grams of ya ice, a .22 Astra pistol registered to another person, 31 .22 shotgun cartridges, digital scales and drug taking paraphernalia.
Maj Rittichai explained: “The arrest came after we received a tip-off from undercover officer that Patiphan had been selling ya ice to people in the area.
“On Monday (Mar 7) at 6pm, we were told that he had just picked up some drugs from the Chalong area and returned to his room. I took my team over there and searched his room where we discovered seven bags of ya ice total containing 49.96g and another two containing 61.51g along with other items including a gun and ammunition,” he said.
“Patiphan told us that he got the drugs from Sothon Sangkhao whom he contacted by phone. Sothon dropped the drugs off to him in Soi Nayai in Chalong on March 3.
“The arrest of Patiphan also led us to another two dealers named Sothon and Kamthon Taweekam,” added Maj Rittichai.
Patiphan was taken to Phuket City Police Station where he was charged with illegal possession of Category 1 drug with intent to sell and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.”
