Prim Prachnakorn, Kritchanya Kaopattanaskul and Suritpreeya Pruksanubal scored a four-day total of 25-under 551 to finish alongside Japan, six shots behind champions South Korea, reports the Bangkok Post.

Their runner-up finish continued a remarkable run by the Thai girls run since their debut two years ago. In three editions of the Junior Golf World Cup, they’ve finished second, first and second.

In the boys’ team event, Parin Sarasmut, Teerawut Boonsior and Settawut Kenanan scored eight-under-par on the final day to finish on 21-under 547, just one stroke off a three-way tie atop the leaderboard after 72 holes.

The team settled for a fourth-place finish in the event, won by Japan, who fended off challenges from Canada and the United States in a tiebreaker.

A total of 12 countries participated in the boys’ event and nine in the girls’ event in this year’s competition.
