Crowned runner-up and second runner-up of the inaugural Phuket pageant were Ms.Maria Ann Paola Pmbrog Santiago, 24, and Aimee Ann Dulguimee Villar, 27, both from the Philippines.
Mena takes home B20,000 and will join the winners of the Miss Hooters Bangkok, and Miss Hooters Pattaya 2016 pageants – Neera Wongai and Jessica Arra, respectively – on a trip to Las Vegas to compete in the Miss Hooters International finals later this year.
The local pageant was organized by Hooters International in order to select representatives from Hooters Thailand restaurants to take part in the 20th edition of the Miss Hooters International 2016 competition, which will be held later this year in Las Vegas.
The contestants showed off their assets in three main categories including bikini, cocktail dress and Hooters uniform.
Ms Mena, as well as the other Hooters Thailand reps will now vie for the chance to win a grand prize of US$30,000 (about B1.05 million) cash as well as a lucrative contract to become the international brand ambassador for Hooters restaurants.
The Miss Hooters International event will be broadcast on Fox Sports, globally, with an estimated 18,000 women who've applied for the competition.
Destination Resorts Co., Ltd. is Hooters representative in Asia, with plans to open 30 branches and is focusing on expansion in Thailand as the first Asian country, with plans to open branches in every ASEAN country in the near future. Hooters of America, LLC began business in 1983 and grew to include 430 branches in 42 American States and in 26 countries by 2016.
