Kathu Police were called to the scene, near the old floating market in Kathu, at about 3:11am.
Officers and rescue workers from the Kusoldharm Foundation rushed to the scene to find the teen lying face down beside his black-and-white Honda Click motorcycle.
The teenager had sustained two stab wounds ‒ one on the left side of his back and another on his hip.
Rescue workers provided immediate first aid and transported him to Vachira Phuket Hospital for urgent medical care.
The teen told police he had been sitting with friends when a group of teenagers attacked him and stabbed him.
Injured and fearing for his life, he fled on his motorbike in search of help but ultimately collapsed near the floating market.
Police are investigating the motive and hoping to identify the attackers.
Meanwhile, the 17-year-old is receiving treatment, and his condition is being closely monitored.
