Technology: Most anticipated game of 2015

Apparently The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is so ambitious, developers Projekt Red delayed the release of the game for three whole months just to work out the small kinks.

Most games these days are released with so many little bugs that gamers have become put off and some ultimately stop playing altogether (examples include Assassin’s Creed, Driveclub and Halo: The Master Chief Collection). From the looks of The Witcher 3, it will be the RPG that will finally take advantage of the potential of next-generation consoles and developers are right to take their time.

Set for a May 19, 2015 release date, The Witcher 3’s cinematic look and rich story will keep gamers on the edge of their seat for the full 100 hours of play time. The setting is 30 times larger, according to Projekt Red, and the fighting system has been overhauled.

In addition, the story – which will see Geralt of Rivia return as the main protagonist – will include a number of complicated moral dilemmas that will uniquely affect each gamer’s quest.

Gamers have been teased about The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for two years now and it has won numerous awards at the E3 gaming convention based solely on gameplay footage. Just five months to go...
