The 28-year-old from Sa Kaeo earned a ticket to Rio de Janeiro after finishing fourth at the ISSF World Cup in Cyprus on Sunday.
Sutiya was defeated by Morgan Craft of the US in the bronze contest, while Italy's Diana Bacosi and Chian's Yu Xiumin were first and second respectively.
"2016!! YES!! QUOTA PLACE!! I′m on my way to RIO 2016 go go go!!" said Sutiya on her Facebook page.
Bronze medalist Craft, 21, should have got a ticket to the 2016 Olympics.
Unfortunately, the US has already secured the maximum number of Olympic berths for the women's skeet (two), therefore, the spot went to fourth-placed Sutiya.
Under the guidance of her new coach Andrea Filippetti of Italy, Sutiya will make her third Olympic appearance.
She came close to becoming the first Thai to win an Olympic medal in shooting at the 2008 Games in Beijing where she finished fifth. Four years later, she failed to reach the final round in London. Bangkok Post
