Officials inspected migrant worker camps in Moo 6 and mounted checkpoints and roadblocks in Moo 5 to target drugs, gambling, vice activities, human trafficking, and other offences linked to influential figures, in line with Ministry of Interior policy.
According to Thalang District Office, the results included the seizure of 20 methamphetamine pills (ya bah) and the arrest of one suspect following searches of individuals and vehicles at the checkpoint.
Random urine tests conducted during the operation returned positive results for 15 individuals, all of whom agreed to enter treatment.
Thalang District Office noted that such operations will continue under the government and Interior Ministry’s directive to strictly and continuously enforce social order, strengthen community safety, and suppress criminal influence throughout the province.
