Scotland or Ireland can become champions if England beats France in Paris in the final game of the tournament tomorrow (Mar 14).

France remains favourites to retain their title thanks to their superior points difference over both Scotland and Ireland, who clash in Dublin.

Scotland are full of confidence after their 50-40 win over France last weekend. This is a very talented Scottish team, brim full of Lions talent, with impressive mobility that pressures the opposition.

Ireland will be no pushovers. They had to work hard to last weekend to defeat Wales 27-17 in Cardiff.

Wales host Italy tomorrow and the visitors are on top of their game. Buoyed by their first win ever over England last Saturday they will be keen to demonstrate it was no fluke.

The French need to win in Paris tomorrow to cement the title, while England has only pride to play for. Do the visitors have the character to deal with the pressure? England finished the game in Rome in disarray. At one point, the captain Maro Itoje and flanker Sam Underhill sat together in the naughty corner for 10 minutes. Italy capitalised on their two-player advantage to win 23-18, leaving England coach Steve Borthwick puzzled.

Borthwick is a hunted man, not liked by the public. His playing style restricts player freedom. He plays players out of position. As in football, I think the RFU may be close to appointing an overseas coach, a Thomas Tuchel for rugby, as there seems to be no English contender for the position.

My picks? If France scores early tomorrow, then it could be a stampede. I think Scotland will beat Ireland in a very close game, so close it may even be a draw.

Wherever you live, enjoy your rugby.
