Singaporean tourist missing at sea after falling off Phuket's Phromthep Cape

PHUKET: A search and rescue operation was underway late this evening (November 20) after two male tourists from Singapore fell off the rocks at Phromthep Cape - with one still missing at sea as darkness fell.

Police arrived to the around around 5.20pm, after reports that two tourists had slipped on the rocks, and been swept away by waves.

The group of four tourists from Singapore, aged in their mid-20s, were visiting the popular area, famous for its magnificent sunsets.

The group were down on the rocks taking photos when the two men slipped. One man was able to be rescued with only minor cuts and bruises, but his friend was swept away out of sight.

The search was called off once the sun set.
