SGS opened in Phuket more than seven years ago, and has often offered safety training courses throughout. The new centre takes this service to a new level, however, with a team of certified instructors and a list of accredited courses, all aimed at increasing the safety and security of everyone in Phuket.

SGS says the safety seminar will be an informational and interactive morning with internationally accredited keynote speakers, live K9 and first aid demonstrations, and opportunities for guests to join in, ask questions and see what the new Training Centre has to offer.

Its offerings range from water-based rescue courses to advanced driving skills, from customised intensive crisis management to security awareness, with a team of instructors that has a combined wealth of certifications and training experience.

The Centre’s main focus is on the hospitality industry but SGS says that schools, tour operators and large firms can also benefit from the courses.

The seminar will begin with registration at 8:45am. A brief introduction by SGS Director Barrie Buck will open the seminar at 9:15, followed by course information and demonstrations until lunch time.

The seminar is free and includes lunch at the Khun Khao Hall at nearby Thanyapura.

To register for the event and book a space contact training@sgsphuket.com before January 21. SGS notes that space is limited so early reservations are recommended.
